What Is a Joint Health and Safety Unit (OSGB)?
Joint Health and Safety Units (OSGB), as defined in the Occupational Health and Safety Law, are organizations authorized by the Ministry to provide occupational safety specialists, occupational physicians and other health personnel to all types of workplaces.
The term refers to a unit established by public institutions, organized industrial zones or companies operating under Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 of 13 January 2011 to provide occupational health and safety services to workplaces, which has the necessary equipment and personnel and is authorized by the Ministry.
Under the Regulation on the Duties, Authorities, Responsibilities and Training of Occupational Safety Specialists, a safety specialist must serve at least 10 minutes per employee per month in low-hazard workplaces, 20 in hazardous and 40 in very hazardous workplaces. We plan your service time on this basis, record it in our integrated software and report progress to your management every three months.
